Yongnam wins two contracts worth S$49.5m
STRUCTURAL steel contractor, Yongnam Holdings, has secured two contracts worth a combined S$49.5 million.
One project is a structural steelwork subcontract for the proposed 19-storey mixed-use development which houses the future Outram Community Hospital in Singapore. Yongnam's scope of work involves the supply, fabrication and erection of structural steelwork for the hospital complex's building structure, link bridges, roof crown structure, trellis supports, and other structural components. The sub-contract is awarded by the main contractor, Penta-Ocean Construction.
The other contract is a specialist civil engineering sub-contract for the Hong Kong MTR Shatin to Central Line cross harbour tunnel. The sub-contract was awarded by a joint venture between Penta-Ocean and China State Construction Engineering (Hong Kong) Ltd.
The two contracts are expected to have a positive impact on the group's financial performance for the year ending Dec 31, 2016.
