GE may look outside US after Electrolux deal dies

GENERAL Electric Co (GE) may look outside the United States or to private equity (PE) to find a new buyer for its appliances business after abandoning plans to sell the unit to Electrolux AB.
The industrial giant still intends to unload the division after scrapping a US$3.3 billion deal that the US Justice Department had opposed, GE said on Monday.
