SOUTH KOREAN technology giant LG has launched a new range of home appliances in stores, including a washer that handles two washing loads simultaneously as well as a garment styler that sanitises clothes and and removes wrinkles from them.

The LG Twin Wash machine combines a full-size 21 kg front-loading washer with a 3.5 kg mini washer, which allows users to select two different wash cycles for their laundry. Consumers can separate their wash by colour or by special wash requirements, such as lingerie or baby clothes, and have both compartments run at the same time.

The LG Styler is a steam machine that sanitises clothes, and can hold up to three items and one pair of pants at any one time. Clothes are placed on hangers in the device, and a moving hanger shakes the clothes at 180 revolutions per minute to remove odours and creases.

It also comes with a low temperature drying system to dry delicate items such as cashmere tops.

The company is also launching a series of larger size refrigerators that come with over 600 litres of storage capacity. These side-by-side models boasts a new door-in-door compartment, which allows users to access the storage shelves on the refrigerator door via the use of a smaller door. The use of this smaller door reduces the loss of cold air whenever smaller items kept on the door shelves are removed.

LG has not announced pricing details for the LG Twin Washer. The LG Styler is priced at S$2,999, and prices for the refrigerators start from S$4,999. All products will be available from June 2016.
