Mediacorp names former CEO Ernest Wong as chairman
MEDIACORP'S former group chief executive officer Ernest Wong has been appointed a board director and chairman-designate at the group, it said in a press release on Thursday evening.
Mr Wong will take the helm as chairman at Mediacorp's annual general meeting in July this year, succeeding Teo Ming Kian, the group added.
A veteran banker, Mr Wong was with United Overseas Bank before becoming Mediacorp's group CEO from 2000 to 2005.
He currently chairs Temasek Holdings' wholly owned subsidiary Fullerton Financial Holdings, which invests in and operates financial institutions in emerging markets.
