Mulberry keeps prices down even as Brexit pushes costs up

HANDBAG maker Mulberry is committed to manufacturing in Britain even as it grapples with higher leather import costs since the Brexit vote. The company could even consider opening another factory in England, its chief executive said.
Mulberry produces about 55 per cent of its leather goods at two manufacturing plants in the west of England, and Britain remains its biggest market even as it expands overseas.
