P&G proxy battle: Peltz beaten by a mere 0.2%

PROCTER & Gamble Co said late Monday that it had beaten back an effort by the activist investor Nelson Peltz for a seat on its board by 6.15 million votes, a mere 0.2 per cent of the company's shares outstanding.
That slim margin throws a new blanket of uncertainty over what had already been the largest and most expensive proxy battle ever.
