SMEs urged to tap food and nutrition R&D

RESEARCH into food and nutrition will be crucial for future development in the food manufacturing industry, Finance Minister Heng Swee Keat said during a visit to the Clinical Nutrition Research Centre (CNRC) on Friday.
Benjamin Seet, executive director, Biomedical Research Council, A*Star (Agency for Science, Technology and Research), said small and medium enterprises (SMEs) could tap the research done by centres such as the CNRC or by multinational corporations that set up their research facilities here.
