Vivendi may reach out to Sky to grow its TV group

French group yet to decide on making a bid which may cost up to £28b

Sky, in which Mr Murdoch's Twenty-First Century Fox has a 39% stake, operates in Britain, Ireland, Germany, Austria and Italy.


FRENCH media conglomerate Vivendi is looking at a possible acquisition of pay-TV group Sky, as one of several options to expand the reach of its own TV group Canal Plus, three sources familiar with the matter said.
