Walmart names exec for China to boost image there

WAL-MART Stores Inc is assigning a veteran employee to a newly created post in China, with the goal of improving the retailer's reputation after accounting, inventory and food safety missteps.
The executive, Maggie Sans, has been named senior vice-president and chief corporate affairs officer in China, according to a memo sent on Thursday by Bentonville, Arkansas-based retailer to employees.
