CHINA is looking into cutting taxes for domestic iron ore miners as tumbling prices of the commodity and an influx of cheaper overseas supplies threaten the survival of many local firms, the state-owned China Securities Journal reported on Tuesday.

Potential tax cuts for iron ore miners in China, the biggest user of the steelmaking material, will result in lower domestic prices and likely reduce China's reliance on imports.
