China to reduce planned power output of coal-fire power plants

[BEIJING] China will gradually reduce the planned power output of existing coal-fired generating plants, the country's state planner said on Monday.
It will also encourage power producers to sign contracts with clients in a bid to promote reform, the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) said in a statement posted on its website.
