THE Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) on Monday launched a new Japanese liquefied natural gas (LNG) futures contract, taking the battle to establish the first Asian LNG pricing benchmark up a notch.
Less than a month ago, the Singapore Exchange (SGX) launched its LNG derivatives contract, so the two exchanges are now in a race for market share.
