Deep-water vessel marks McDermott's turnaround
Keppel-designed DLV 2000 instrumental to McDermott's subsea move, albeit at slower pace given low oil prices
Singapore
HOUSTON-based offshore contracting giant McDermott International is set to take delivery by May from Keppel Singmarine (KSM) of a high specification deep-water derrick lay vessel in support of the contractor's drive to extend its footprint to deeper waters and remote oil and gas basins.
The vessel delivery comes three months after McDermott completed a turnaround under chief executive David Dickson.
