European refinery crude intake slows in March: Euroilstock
[LONDON] European refineries processed over 2 per cent less crude in March compared with February, data from industry monitor Euroilstock showed on Monday.
Crude prices have gained ground in recent weeks ahead of meeting of major oil producers in the Qatari capital Doha on April 17 to discuss an output freeze deal.
Middle distillate stocks were almost flat in March compared with February, but were around 13 per cent higher than March last year amid growing oversupply.
Gasoline stocks were 0.6 per cent lower in March compared with February largely because of strong demand for exporting the motor fuel from Europe to West Africa and the United States.
