THE London Metal Exchange (LME), the biggest industrial metals bourse, is looking for ways to expand with new products and membership beyond China, the largest user of copper to zinc.

The LME wants to boost the market by adding new products, and extending its network of 700 warehouses into China is still "on the shopping list", LME chief executive officer Garry Jones said in a recent interview in London. The bourse may add a membership category for introducing brokers and provide more access to proprietary firms that trade for their own account, he said.
