More supply and use of nuclear power seen in Asia despite Fukushima disaster

NUCLEAR power "is here to stay" and is fundamentally safe, said William Magwood, director-general of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development's Nuclear Energy Agency (NEA), in Tokyo.
During a visit to the Japanese capital last week, Mr Magwood also insisted lessons learnt from the Fukushima disaster had been taken to heart and were being applied widely.
