US crude falls to weekly low following refinery disruption

[NEW YORK] US crude fell to US$45.35 on Friday, the lowest since the middle of last week, following news that a crude oil distillation unit in BP's 413,500 barrel a day Whiting, Indiana, refinery was shut down on Thursday night.
US crude fell 49 cents to trade at US$45.83 at 9:27am EST (1427 GMT). Global Brent was trading up at US$48.81, a climb of 30 cents.
