Credit Suisse launches fee-based portfolio advisory service

PRIVATE banks have sought to shift to a business model where clients pay a fee for advice, but that has been an uphill climb for most players.

Now Credit Suisse is rolling out Credit Suisse Invest, a "digital-enabled" portfolio advisory service that puts at clients' fingertips the bank's capabilities in terms of global research, stocks and funds selection, portfolio analytics and daily investment ideas, among others.

The service charges a flat fee for advice, and clients make their own investment decisions. It is being launched at the Singapore and Hong Kong booking centres.
