MYANMAR is both an "old friend" and "important partner" for Singapore, said Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong on Tuesday, the first day of his official visit to the country.
Speaking at a dinner hosted in his honour at the presidential palace in Nay Pyi Taw, he said Myanmar had made the transition to democracy over the past decade, with Singapore supporting its fellow Asean member state along the way.
