Australia hopes the US will one day join China-led AIIB

AUSTRALIA, one of the largest shareholders of the new China-led Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), hopes that the United States will eventually re-consider and become a member of the US$100 billion institution at some point.
Fifty countries, including Singapore, are now officially founding members of the AIIB after the signing ceremony of the Articles of Agreement in Beijing on Monday.
