Bank of Korea's Lee says weak yen, China economy hurting exports
[SEOUL] South Korea's central bank chief said on Tuesday the broadly weakening yen and sluggish Chinese economy were affecting South Korea's economy by weakening its export perfomrmance.
Bank of Korea Governor Lee Ju Yeol said ahead of a meeting at the bank headquarters that economic momentum in the second quarter will be key for the economy going forward.
Mr Lee noted that although the pace of economic recovery at home was weak, there had recently been positive signs.
