OFFICERS from the Housing and Development Board (HDB) will be able to enter flats by force, and flat owners who break leasing rules will face variable penalty amounts, with the passing of the Housing and Development (Amendment) Bill 2015 on Monday.
The proposed changes were met with support in Parliament during its second reading, with Members of Parliament describing them as timely and necessary.
