Boat Quay to get S$5m facelift from early 2016
Eight in 10 landlords and business owners back the plan drawn up by Singapore River One and the URA

BOAT Quay's riverfront promenade will get a makeover next year, one which will revamp its outdoor dining areas and create new open spaces.
The S$5 million facelift, a project by the private sector-led Singapore River One (SRO) and the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA), will be fully funded by the URA. The works, likely to start in the first quarter of next year and be done by end-2016, will bring a more consistent look to the promenade and improve the ambience for diners and visitors.
