LAST-MINUTE efforts by UK Prime Minister Theresa May to unblock stalled Brexit talks came up short with European Union officials now looking to December to move negotiations on to discussions about the future EU-UK relationship.
Ms May travelled to Brussels to meet European Commission president Jean-Claude Juncker on Monday, after calls to Germany's Angela Merkel and France's Emmanuel Macron, to try to break a deadlock that has some senior ministers in her team doubtful that the rest of the European Union even wants a deal.
