Candidates for HK leadership race square off in heated TV debate

THE first debate among the three candidates vying to be Hong Kong's next leader turned out to be a heated affair, with analysts saying that former financial secretary John Tsang came out ahead of his two other rivals.
The 65-year-old Mr Tsang squared off against former chief secretary Carrie Lam, 59, and retired judge Woo Kwok-hing, 71, in the two-hour televised debate on Tuesday evening.
