Chee outlines plans for running town council

SINGAPORE Democratic Party's (SDP) Chee Soon Juan broadly outlined plans for running Bukit Batok's town council as the first SDP rally of the Bukit Batok by-election kicked off on Friday night.
Aside from working to ensure that the town-council operations are handed over seamlessly if the SDP wins, the party aims to set new standards for transparency and accountability in town-council governance while keeping conservancy charges to a minimum.
"As your Member of Parliament (MP), I will dedicate myself full-time to performing my role in managing the town council and the estate as well as attending to your needs.
