A groundbreaking ceremony was held to commemorate commencement of construction works at the first Neighbourhood Centre (NC1) in SSGKC. This is the first of five Neighbourhood Centres to be constructed at the Start-Up Area.

BILATERAL project Sino-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City said it has broken ground for a neighbourhood centre development and launched a platform for businesses and start-ups.

The groundbreaking ceremony was conducted on Thursday for the first of five neighbourhood centres. This centre is expected to be completed in end-2018, with an investment of 230 million yuan (S$47 million).

Residents will be able to enjoy government and commercial services at the centre. Plans are also underway to build a library, small theatre, multi-function hall and cultural activity centre.

Meanwhile, the Ascendas-Singbridge International Launch Pad was initiated at the Ascendas OneHub GKC development.

This initiative comprises a business lounge, an innovation centre, and a collaboration centre that provides business services.
