DEMOCRATIC presidential nominee Hillary Clinton holds an edge of 47 per cent to 43 per cent over GOP nominee Donald Trump in the latest Washington Post-ABC News tracking poll, with Mrs Clinton regaining a slight advantage in personal popularity and matching President Barack Obama's 2012 lead among racial and ethnic minorities. The final Bloomberg Politics national poll has Mrs Clinton ahead of Mr Trump, 44 per cent to 41 per cent, when third-party candidates are included. In a two-way contest, she's also up by three points.

Early voting and battleground geography spell different fortunes for Mrs Clinton and Mr Trump's chances on Tuesday, with Mrs Clinton garnering majority support among those who have cast ballots but Mr Trump faring better among likely voters in key states in the electoral college.
