COE premiums up across all categories in latest bidding exercise

CERTIFICATE of entitlement (COE) premiums rose across the board in the latest round of bidding which ended on Friday.
The COE for small cars climbed from S$48,401 to S$49,430, while cars above 1600cc or 97kW increased from S$48,209 to S$50,621.
Meanwhile, the premium for goods vehicles and buses edged up from S$48,901 to S$49,810, while the premium for the open category rose from S$48,556 to S$51,000.
The COE for motorcycles was also higher at S$6,801, compared with S$6,412 previously, despite the introduction of a new tiered additional registration fee (ARF) for motorcycles. The tiered ARF was announced during Budget on Monday.
