Corporate confidence in South-east Asia remains high: report
CORPORATE confidence among companies in South-east Asia remains high, said an EY report on Wednesday.
Some 67 per cent of corporate respondents in the region believe that the local economy is improving, a significant boost from the 35 per cent who shared such sentiments six months ago.
Respondents from South-east Asian markets also appear to think that the worst of the currency fluctuations is over and the next 12 months will be a more stable than a volatile period.
The barometer surveyed more than 1,600 executives in 53 countries, including over 120 in Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. The survey was conducted in August and September.
