ECB studies Fed to decide on bond volume
Bank staff have presented policy makers with models for buying as much as 500 billion euros of high-grade assets

THE European Central Bank is studying the experiences of the US and Britain with quantitative easing to decide what volume of bonds it may buy as part of its own programme, an executive board member said.
"We will take into account the American and British experiences to determine the amount of bonds to buy," Benoit Coeure said in an interview with Liberation newspaper that was confirmed by the ECB press office.
