EU-S'pore FTA talks fully concluded

WITH the conclusion of talks over investment protection, Singapore and the European Union (EU) have now wrapped up negotiations for the entire EU-Singapore free trade agreement (FTA), the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) said on Friday.
The other parts of the agreement were initialled in September 2013, after negotiations were completed in December 2012, more than two years after they began in March 2010. Negotiations over investment protection had started later, based on a new EU competence under the Lisbon Treaty.
