France tackles security, floods, strikes head on

THE eyes and ears of the world will be on France for an entire month from Friday, as the country hosts the latest edition of the European Football Championships.
A record 24 nations - up from 16 previously - are competing in the quadrennial tournament, known simply as Euro 2016.
Fifty-one matches involving 552 players will be staged across 10 cities, with the top two teams squaring off in the grand final in Paris on July 11 (Singapore time).
