Indonesia central bank to ease lending restrictions to revive growth
[IAKARTA] Indonesia's central bank governor said on Tuesday it will support economic growth by loosening some lending requirements for banks.
"To nurture the growth momentum, BI will loosen the reserve requirement policy for loan-to-deposit ratio, loan-to-value for mortgages and downpayment for car and motorcycle loans," Bank Indonesia governor Agus Martowardojo told reporters.
Bank Indonesia on Tuesday kept its benchmark interest rate at 7.50 per cent.
