Indonesia's Q3 GDP growth at 5.06% y-o-y, below expectations
[JAKARTA] Indonesia's gross domestic product grew slightly slower than expected in the third quarter from a year earlier, government data showed on Monday.
Southeast Asia's largest economy expanded 5.06 per cent in July-September from the same period a year earlier, the statistics bureau said, compared with 5.01 per cent in both the first and second quarters.
A Reuters poll forecast 5.13 per cent annual growth for the three months ended in September.
On a quarterly, non-seasonally adjusted basis, GDP expanded by 3.18 per cent in July-September.
The government, which has struggled to lift the growth rate, is targeting economic growth of 5.2 per cent this year, while the central bank has forecast a range of 5.0-5.4 per cent.
