Japan, China, S Korea united in condemning N Korea missile launch
Tokyo
FOREIGN ministers from Japan, China and South Korea performed a delicate diplomatic dance at a meeting in Tokyo on Wednesday where they avoided contentious issues so as to pave the way for a summit meeting among Japan Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, China President Xi Jinping and South Korea President Park Geun-hye later this year.
North Korea meanwhile provided the three North-east Asian powers with common ground by firing a submarine-launched ballistic missile (SLBM) in the direction of Japan on Wednesday morning, demonstrating Pyongyang's enhanced nuclear weapon capability, and adding to regional security tensions.
