Malaysia Oct factory output growth likely slowed to 4.1% year-on-year
[KUALA LUMPUR] Malaysia's industrial output in October probably grew 4.1 per cent from a year earlier, a Reuters poll showed, slowing from September as weaker commodity prices likely hurt mining production.
The median forecast from 12 economists for October reflects lower factory production following a decline in exports.
Malaysia recorded robust exports in the first half of the year, but then demand weakened. In October, exports were 3.1 per cent below a year earlier.
