MALAYSIA'S Prime Minister Najib Razak presented a mildly expansionary RM273.9 billion (S$107 billion) Budget 2015 to Parliament on Friday in a two-hour speech that sought to allay public concerns over the associated costs that would come from April 2015's implementation of a Goods and Services Tax (GST).

When he presented Budget 2014 a year ago, he announced the go-ahead for the 6 per cent GST, which has since come to be associated with an impending jump in living costs.
