New appointments in JTC, EDB, URA

THE Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) and the Ministry of National Development (MND) today announced several new appointments.
This includes the new chief executive officer (CEO) for the JTC Corporation (JTC), a new managing director (MD) for the Economic Development Board (EDB), as well as the new CEO of the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) as well as a new acting deputy CEO and chief planner for the URA.
Ng Lang, currently the CEO of the URA, will be appointed as the CEO of JTC with effect from Sept 1. He takes over from Png Cheong Boon who will be stepping down on Aug 31 after completing a four-year tenure at JTC. Mr Png has been holding a concurrent appointment as second permanent secretary of the Ministry of Trade & Industry since June 1, and will continue in this role.
Chng Kai Fong will be appointed as MD of EDB with effect from Oct 1. Current MD Yeoh Keat Chuan will be leaving the Singapore Public Service on Aug 31.
Lim Eng Hwee, currently chief planner and deputy CEO of URA, will be appointed as CEO, URA on Sept 1.
Hwang Yu-Ning, director (Land & Liveability), Strategy Group, Prime Minister's Office, will be appointed as Acting Deputy CEO and chief planner, URA on Oct 1.
