New diagnostics development hub to improve treatment results
The S$60m facility will cater to demand for devices for more immediate diagnosis

A S$60 million Diagnostics Development (DxD) Hub was launched at Biopolis on Wednesday to cater to the rapidly growing demand for devices that will make it faster and easier for healthcare professionals to make more immediate diagnosis and improve treatment outcome for patients.
The S$60 million will be spread over five years and spent mostly on product development. Described as a "major boost" to Singapore's biomedical research, the hub aims to develop medical diagnostics as part of the medical technologies industry. It also aims to improve healthcare through the development of related solutions and accelerate the development of new diagnostics devices.
