New Zealand manufacturing sales volumes rise 2.8% on quarter
[WELLINGTON] New Zealand manufacturing sales volumes rose 2.8 per cent in the second quarter, data from Statistics New Zealand showed on Wednesday.
Volumes for dairy and meat products, the country's biggest export earners, rose 8.6 per cent on the quarter.
"This quarter's large rise in meat and dairy manufacturing sales followed a sizeable fall in the March 2016 quarter," said Tehseen Islam, business indicators manager at Statistics New Zealand.
In the March quarter, volumes for dairy and meat products fell 6.7 per cent, Statistics New Zealand said.
