North Korea fires short-range projectiles into sea
[SEOUL] North Korea fired multiple short-range projectiles into the sea off the country's east coast on Monday, South Korea's military said.
North Korea fired two ballistic missiles on Friday as the isolated state stepped up its defiance of tough new UN and US sanctions slapped on the country for its nuclear and rocket tests.
The projectiles fired on Monday flew for 200 km and landed in waters east of North Korea, South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff said in a statement.
