NSP says WP offered to give up MacPherson to avoid three-cornered fight in Marine Parade

[SINGAPORE] As opposition parties prepare to meet on Thursday night for a second pow-wow to discuss which party should contest where, new information has emerged that the Workers' Party (WP) had offered not to contest the single-seat Macpherson constituency.

National Solidarity Party (NSP) president Sebastian Teo said WP representatives made the offer during an earlier meeting of opposition parties on Monday, on condition that the NSP stays away from Marine Parade GRC.
