JAPAN'S "Abegate" affair, linking Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and his wife Akie with murky events surrounding an Osaka school, showed little sign of abating on Friday as political opposition parties demanded that Mrs Abe testify before Parliament on her alleged role in the affair.
Mr Abe's controlling Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) is resisting the demand, however, and the party's Diet affairs chief Wataru Takeshita claimed on Friday that a "line has been drawn" under the matter,
