PM Lee on medical leave until Aug 29

Tests showed PM Lee has no heart abnormalities and did not have a stroke; his unsteadiness on stage came from a transient drop in blood pressure, caused by prolonged standing, exhaustion and dehydration.


PRIME Minister Lee Hsien Loong is on medical leave for a week on the advice of his doctors, his office said in a statement on Monday afternoon.

Mr Lee, who experienced a brief fainting spell on Sunday during the National Day Rally, will return to work on Aug 29. Deputy
