PM Lee: "The light that has guided us all these years has been extinguished."
[SINGAPORE] Singapore has lost its founding father Lee Kuan Yew who had "lived and breathed Singapore all his life", Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong said.
In a moving eulogy to his father, PM Lee said: "The light that has guided us all these years has been extinguished."
"This has been a dark week for Singapore," PM Lee, who is Mr Lee's eldest son, said at the funeral service held on Sunday at the University Cultural Centre of the National University of Singapore.
