PM's prostate-cancer surgery a success

THE operation to remove Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong's prostate gland on Monday morning was a success and he is now recovering.
Giving an update on the Singapore leader's condition, the Prime Minister's Office said that the robot-assisted keyhole prostatectomy conducted at the Singapore General Hospital "was successful".
The statement quoted Christopher Cheng, the hospital's lead urologist who performed the operation, as saying that the procedure "went very smoothly".
Professor Cheng added that Mr Lee, who was diagnosed with prostate cancer in January following an MRI scan, was expected to make a full recovery. He also confirmed that there was no relationship between Mr Lee's previous bout of lymphoma in 1992 and …
