Rouble down around 5% against dollar on back of falling oil price

[MOSCOW] The Russian rouble on Tuesday plunged by around 5 per cent against the dollar as global oil prices tumbled towards a six-year low.
By 1330 GMT the dollar was up to 66.38 against the ruble from 63.17 on Monday evening, while the euro was at 78.15 to the ruble.
Russia's national currency has lost some 16 per cent against the dollar since the start of the year after dropping by around 41 per cent in 2014.
