SDP's Chee confident of fielding strong set of candidates
Singapore
THE Singapore Democratic Party (SDP) may have lost two of its biggest names since the last general election (GE) in 2011, but the chief of the opposition party is still confident of fielding a strong set of candidates to contest at least four constituencies at the next polls.
The SDP lineup is also likely to include Chee Soon Juan himself, the 52-year-old secretary-general who was barred from running at the 2006 and 2011 elections because he was a bankrupt.
