Services lift July PMI, but mask sustained manufacturing blues

SINGAPORE firms showed a further improvement in overall business conditions in July, according to the Nikkei Singapore purchasing managers' index (PMI) released on Wednesday.
The headline PMI rose slightly to 51.3 in July from June's 51.1, marking the second successive monthly rise in the health of Singapore's private sector.
